How Often Should I Get a Facial?

The ideal schedule to maintain the skin you want is every 4-6 weeks. The reason is that you want to stay on top of the cellular turnover cycle to keep your skin in peak condition. Everyone is different, some schedule regularly while others prefer to come in quarterly.

What are the benefits of regular facials?

1- Maintain cellular turnover for younger looking skin.

2.-Address pigment and hydration issues ( most common issues that I see )

3- Increase collagen and elasticity that we lose over time.

4- Self care is incredibly important. Our skin is our largest organ and regular facials are key to healthy skin, younger looking skin. It’s deeply relaxing, allowing you to let go of life’s stresses.

5-Aging- Gracefully is a process. Regular facials, using appropriate skincare products, and finding time for yourself is key.

Can I Wear Makeup After a Facial?

Ideally, you should not wear make-up for several hours after a facial. Why? Your skin has just received everything it needs to reveal healthier, brighter- and hydrated skin. You want to give your skin time to absorb all the active and restorative ingredients for the results you want.

Life does happen- so if you need to apply make-up wait a few hours.

Post facial care-

There is no need to do your regular skin care regime the night of your facial ( unless you apply make-up ). If you do apply make-up, use a gentle cleanser to remove all traces of make-up and apply moisturizer.

Why Professional Skincare products?

Higher concentration of active ingredients. Professional-grade products contain higher, more potent levels of key ingredients like retinoids, antioxidants, and peptides. This means they can produce more noticeable and effective results, particularly for specific concerns like acne, aging, and hyperpigmentation.

  1. Deeper penetration and targeted treatment. Professional formulations are designed with advanced technology to penetrate deeper into the skin's layers, addressing concerns at a cellular level. This makes them more effective at producing long-term changes rather than just treating superficial symptoms.

  2. Personalized guidance from experts. When you purchase professional skincare, you're not just buying a product; you're also getting advice from a licensed esthetician or dermatologist. This ensures the products are specifically tailored to your skin type and concerns, avoiding the guesswork of over-the-counter options that may worsen your skin.

  3. Rigorously tested and safer formulations. Professional products often undergo more extensive clinical testing and quality control. They are also typically formulated without common irritants like synthetic fragrances and dyes, making them a safer choice for sensitive or reactive skin.

  4. Better quality ingredients with fewer fillers. Mass-produced, over-the-counter products often use inexpensive fillers to cut costs. Professional products, made in smaller batches, focus on high-quality ingredients and better manufacturing standards.

  5. More cost-effective in the long run. Though the initial price tag may be higher, professional products are more concentrated and effective, so a little goes a long way. Their lasting results also reduce the need to constantly buy replacement products or seek additional treatments, saving you money over time.
